Become the one who follows through.

You don't miss your goals because you're lazy. You miss them because underneath, you're still the person who misses them. 808 is a meditation app for changing that. It rehearses you as the version of yourself who actually does the thing, and your Apple Watch measures each session so you're not just hoping it works.

You're in.

We'll email you when 808 is ready.

The meditation

The main event is a 25 minute guided session called The One Who Follows Through. It spends the first stretch bringing you into deep relaxation, the state where your brain shifts toward slower theta waves and the subconscious becomes directly reachable. That's the door. Once you're through it, the meditation has you live as the version of yourself who brings your goals to life, so the new identity embeds while your mind is actually open to it. Not picturing that person from the outside. Being them.

There are also frequency tones, nature sounds, and plain silence, if guided isn't your thing that day.

The proof

Most meditation apps ask you to take their word that anything happened. This one doesn't. During a session the Watch tracks how still you got and how your heart rate drifted. Lie down with the Watch resting on your belly and it reads your actual breathing too. Nothing is shown while you meditate. When you open your eyes, you get this:

81PRACTICE SCORE
Heart ratedrifted down 9 bpm
Stillness86%, your best this week
Breathing5.8 per minute, near resonance

A session from testing. The breathing number comes from lying down with the Watch resting on your belly, and it's optional.

Why these three numbers? Because they're the body's side of a theta state. In the deep meditative states where EEG studies find elevated theta activity, the body goes still, heart rate drifts down, and breathing settles toward six breaths a minute. We can't see brain waves from a wrist, so we measure everything your body does on the way there.

Works with iPhone + Apple Watch

808 is a wellness tool, not a medical device. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and your measurements never leave your own devices.

Who's making this

We're Aziz and Melvin, two friends who got into meditation to change how we operate. Honestly, most sessions we couldn't tell if anything happened. Then we realized the watch we were already wearing could answer that.

Since then it's been months of building and testing on ourselves, including an embarrassing amount of time lying on the floor teaching the app to read a breath through the Watch.

No ads, and your health measurements stay on your phone. If you want a say in what we build first, the questionnaire takes about a minute.
